I am trying to add a macro button in a .potm but the only way I know how to do it is if I record a macro which is not available in powerpoint 2010

It should do the following steps:
i. Click on the Design Tab
ii. Background Styles
iii. Format Background
iv. Picture or Texture Fill
v. File

Please if someone could assist if this is possible?
