Default Powerpoint 2011: Changing multiple bullets to "on click" at once

I have a new Mac with Office 2011. I'm trying to change several bullets at once to "on click." (I'd also like to change other effects at once for several bullets, but this is the most important thing.)

In the the PC version of office, you can just highlight several bullets in the animation sidebar and switch to "on click." But in the Mac version, once you click on several items in "custom animation," you can no longer get to the "timing" area where you can change to "on click." So I've had to change the bullets one at a time.

To clarify this, here's a screenshot of the area where the timing can be changed, with one bullet highlighted

Once multiple bullets are highlighted, the timing area disappears and is no longer accessible.

Is there any way to get around this and change the timing of several bullets at once? Thanks in advance!
