I've done more to troubleshoot the issue:

  • I've reset the appropriate registry key.
  • I've done a repair with the install disk.
  • I've uninstalled Word and reinstalled it.
Still, when I uncheck (or check) any check box in Word Options, after quiting Word I lose the changes. This doesn't happen in Excel or Outlook.

What else can I try?
