Default insert front page from other document

Hello,

I'm a student working on my thesis, and having some trouble with the set up of my final document.

I want to create a new document where the first page has to have a layout defined by my university. I need to use their title page with logo of the university, etc... In other words, I need to take that page (with its own layout) from a document and put it in my empty new word doc.

After that first page, I want to use a different layout, with different margins, etc... As if the first page has no influence at all on the rest of the document, but is still there in the same document.

I tried "insert object" and then took the word doc with the "university" page, but that didn't give the right results.

Any idea of how I should do this?
