Okay--I believe I've found the source of 1 of my misunderstandings.

On closer inspection, my wife's past version preference has apparently been 0 line spacing. I had been changing the default to Single before posting and after posting and following your directions I continued to check the line setting at Single--hence, no change.

There must be a way to set the default line spacing to 0 since the second ribbon style icon does so. Yet, the lowest setting in the drop down box of the style manager is single.

Where is 0?
