I would like to create a calender with recurring events each month. I think it can be done in office, I have office 2010. I just can't see typing everything one month at a time. This would be mainly for bill paying, like gas, electric, phone, internet. Things that are due every month at the same date per provider. I also use LibreOffice in Ubuntu Linux and could probably do the same there. I just can't see filling in 12 months of calenders with the same info.
