These are typed numbers, I guess? In that case, a wildcase find and replace will do the trick. Press Ctrl+H to display the Find and Replace dialog box. Click the More button to see all options. Select "Use wildcards." In the "Find what" box, enter:

[0-9]{1,}

Leave the "Replace with" box blank but place the insertion point in there and click Format, Font; specify red for font color. Click Replace All.

Note that if the main body of the document contains other numbers in addition to the verse numbers these will be formatted in red as well.
