Default Inserting a fraction equal to the default one

Thank you very much for your help. No, I had not read that article. it was others that I have read. You're info helped a lot because I had not taken into consideration that if I use the Auto Format choice I would get a fraction symbol whenever I would be using dates as well. Since I use dates much more often than I do fractions (hardly ever), This was most useful. I chose to simply use the 'Insert' tab and the 'insert symbol' option.
