Heading Style query
Hi,
I have an issue where some heading styles appear partly bolded in my Table of Contents.
The affected style is Heading 2. In the body of the document the heading text is in bold (which is correct) as should be the numbering, yet this is not replicated in the TOC.
1.1 Textual Heading
1.2 Textual Heading
1.3 Textual Heading
1.4 Textual Heading
1.5 Textual Heading
As you see above, 1.3 and 1.4 are all bold which means that in the TOC, the numbering is bold (I don't want any heading 2 style bold in the TOC, only heading 1).
How did I get to this? I'm sure it's something simple that I've done incorrect. Worryingly, if I select one of the numbers in the body of the document and manually click bold, the only thing that changes is the text type for the WHOLE document (changes to Times!)
EDIT:
After typing this I tried selecting a heading 2 style number (which in turn selects all heading 2 stlyes) and clicked Heading 2 style button - this then amended everything to exactly how I want it - so I now have it sorted.
Nevertheless, I'd be grateful of any feedback to why I got into this mess? Presumably to do with manually editing styles in the body of document?
I'm using Word 2010 on a PC.
