The printer is a newly installed stand alone office copier (not a printer of a computer). Several other computers print to it with no problem. In fact, the computer that is having trouble printing is only having trouble printing a document made from the one template, from Word to the office copier. It has no trouble printing the same document to a pdf file, and has no trouble printing other Word documents to the office copier. I will try reinstalling the printer driver and see if that makes a difference.
