Have you tried repairing the Office installation (via Programs & Features > Microsoft Office > Change in the Windows Control Panel)? Did you use the printer drivers that came with Windows, or some older ones that might not be compatible? Have you tried uninstalling the printers, to see whether that rectifies things?
