I wish to make changes to the default template and have the following questions that I should resolve before going forward.

1. Doing a search on 'book.xlt' results in 2 locations:

C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLST ART
C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

The timestamps for book.xlt in each of these directories have the same date and different times by ~ 3 minutes. Which file do I load to edit? Should I delete the other instance?

2. The template copy that loads is called book1.xls--this is the resulting file that I had made changes to some time ago. There is another file, book.xls in the same directory:

C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OFFICE\12.0

Did I make a mistake when I previously made the alterations by creating book1 instead of changes to book? Should I correct this now if it is a problem?
