Default Searching dates to create lists

Hi. I have a spreadsheet that contains names in column C and dates in column G. I'm looking for a macro or formula that checks all the dates in column G and lists the corresponding names for those dates that are earlier than todays date. I would like the output to appear in a seperate area within the same spreadsheet, if possible. Is there an easy, straight forward way of performing this task?
