I have replaced the PICTURE placeholders with CONTENT placeholders - and it made no difference in 2011 for Mac - it simply scaled it up and cropped parts of the image off (from left and right).

Although the icon to resize the picture appears (and sorts the problem) when you click on the image - this I am pretty sure only applies to 2011 and not 2007 (Windows).

The placeholders were a specific size tall and not so wide - so I changed the dimensions of the placeholders to make slightly wider and this seems to sort it out.

A little restrictive and a shame 2007 doesn't have the same functionality/icon (resize picture to fit inside placeholder) as 2011.

Unless someone else knows a way ?
