I read the MS support article (the one specific to WORD 2000) and it says, under item #8 “To correct this problem, install the program associated with the document type specified in the hyperlink.”. That doesn’t solve the problem since the program associated with the hyperlink is Explorer, which is installed.

Would reinstalling Office help/correct this?
