Default Sync Outlook Calendar to Sharepoint site Calendar

Is it possible to sync a Outlook Calendar to a corporate Sharepoint calendar on a sharepoint site? I want to be able to just create a meeting invite in Outlook and have it created automatically also in Sharepoint. I tried doing this in the past and I believe I had to create a seperate calendar in Outlook which I would like to avoid doing. I just want to be able to create meetings in the normal outlook calendar and have them synced to sharepoint calendar. Also is it possible to restrict which meetings get synced and which ones do not?
