I am creating a dashboard in Powerpoint that will be accessed in the Slideshow format (so that it launches as a floating presentation in show mode), but I am having trouble getting a TODAY excel function within an included Excel snippet to automatically update to the current date without having to first view the presentation in edit mode and double-click on the excel insert to refresh the function. Can someone please help me figure out how to have the excel TODAY function automatically update and be displayed once the PowerPoint presentation is launched in show (.ppsx format) mode?
Would acheiving this necessitate creating a macro? If so, I'm game, though I've never made one before (if you don't mind speaking slowly, haha). Thanks very much! I appreciate your time!
