Newlaptop. Installed trial version last nite. Purchased and installed permanent version today. All the word docs I switched from my PC are frozen in compatibility mode.

My own fault for not sticking with my old clunker and XP. I was just beginning to get the hang of it.

I was "forced " into downloading the permanent MSOffice into my 'name account' - whatever that is - my "username - PC" or similar. I can access it OK but can't get it to function. The trial version seems to have gone walkabout.

Time for a coffee.
