I have a complex template with many master layouts (titles, section slides and various content slides). There is a problem with the automatic header & footer.

All of the master layouts that are content slides have a slide number and footer. I set these up on the masters using Insert > Header & Footer and Apply to All except Title slide.

Here is the problem: If I'm on a content slide, insert a new slide and apply a different content layout, the footer appears correctly. However, if I'm on a title or section slide, insert a new slide, then apply a content layout, the footer doesn't show up. The slide number always shows up, but not the footer text.

Any idea what to do about this?
