Default Converting document to PDF but table of contents doesn't work

Hello,

I am using Microsoft Office 2003 and I have a document with a table of contents. The links on the table of contents work within the Word document (by Ctrl+click). However, I need this document in PDF form with a working table of contents. When I convert to PDF, using Adobe 9, the links don't work in the table of contents. Does anyone know what I can try?
