Your form probably has an ordinary Date field. If you're creating the documents from a proper template (ie a .dot(x/m) file), a CREATEDATE field will retain the date & time the document was first saved (or re-saved via Save As); otherwise you might need to use a SAVEDATE field. The problem with the latter is that you may neede to do a print preview to get the field to update but, having done that, Word will prompt you to save the changes when you close the file. Do that and the SAVEDATE changes ...
