Almost every time, when I double-click a Word file, or just double-click the Word icon, I get the splash screen and then the program opens in a tiny, 5X1 cm window, showing only the close, maximize and minimize buttons. Sometimes the splash screen is small too!

I tried maximizing, closing and reopening;
I tried enlarging the window by the handles, closing and reopening.
This happens only with Word.
I saw a thread in the Office forum from back in April, but it was not resolved

I use Word 2010 32 bit on Windows 7 64 bit.

Appreciate any thoughts. Maybe a registry tweak?
