Hyperlink from PowerPoint to destination in remote PDF
Hi all,
I have a PowerPoint presentation that has hyperlinks to PDFs stored on our company's SharePoint site. A few of the links need to go to specific paragraphs within the PDF. Originally I was able to make the hyperlinks go straight to the correct page by adding "#page=<page#>" to the end of the hyperlink URL.
I have now been asked if it's possible to not only go to the correct page, but to go to a specific paragraph (and maybe even highlight the necessary text).
I have searched around and found a number of different ways to link to a destination. I'm confused if a destination is the same thing as a bookmark. Some people say yes, some say no. I have bookmarks set on the PDFs. I then try the following to link to the bookmark (or destination):
#nameddest=<bookmark name>
I have also seen people say that "#name=<bookmark name>" or "#namedestination=<bookmark name>" is what I should use. None of these have worked for me. When I click the hyperlink, it just opens the PDF to the first page.
So, can anyone answer this for me? Is it possible to link from a PowerPoint presentation to a remotely stored PDF? If not to a bookmark, how would I achieve this?
Thank you.
