What I need to do is place a start date the line will run, the shift it starts, and the number of shifts it takes to complete - not factoring in lunch (shifts are 8 hours) and should be calculated as such.
The end result will be the day and time (next shift in sequence) the part should be loaded on to the line.
I know this sounds like a production schedule, but it isn't... I don't need anything that complex.
Example... our schedule is done as 3rd shift as the start of the day, so if I start at 11pm (23:00) on day A 9/5/12 and end 9/7/12 at 11pm so the next run will be 9/8/12 7am (first shift) so I ran for 7 shifts.
9/5 - 3rd (11pm)
9/6 - 1st (7am) and 2nd (3pm)
9/6 - 3rd (11pm)
9/7 - 1st (7am) and 2nd (3pm)
9/7 - 3rd (11pm)
(7shifts - each shift is 8 hours)
8/1- 1st (7am) - this shift is the start of next part
I have attached the file itself. This is the formula I am using in cell C6 - =A2+B3+((A6)/24)
