what + (plus) means in word?

Hi everybody,

I am wondering what plus means or does in Word 2007?
I have encountered:
* in "Font"-window there is "+Body Asian", "+Headings Asian",
"+Body" and "+Headings"
* style_name + property
* I think I have seen '+' at the beginning or at the end of font size
