Without knowing exactly what was damaged by the process, there's nothing further I can advise on reinstallation alternatives.

If you can find someone with the same Office 2010 edition as you're using (and they're willing to lend you their installation media), you could use a product like Magic Jellybean KeyFinder (http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/) to retrieve your Office product key, then go through the uninstall/reinstall process, using the retrieved product key.
