Ok, heres what Im trying to do. I would like to set up a inventory for my pets and consumption. Lets say for example I have 10 dogs that need 1 pill once a day.

So I would like to do would be to open up the document, click dog1 and click pill-aspirin ect. eventually i would like to make this barcoded where i can just scan a code in a book than scan another code to input what they ate on today's date. i would also like other options to say like runny-feces yellow urine. and so on.

where should i begin what would be the best tool? Im good with all the apps except data base but i bet that would work out the greatest for this.
