First, Word is a poor program for preparing web pages. When you save as a web page, Word will create a folder holding your images. You will need to upload that folder with your file.

I do not know how this will work on your web server.

You can open your file in a web browser and use that to view your source code. Even in filtered form it will be full of junk code.
