Default "ize" words vs "ise" words

Afternoon all.

US firm based in London, running Office 2007 SP3.

Our users are convinced that Word used to highlight occurances of "ize" words as typos if the langugae was set to UK English, now this no longer seems to be happening.

I know the majority of ize/ise words (rationalise, authorise etc) are acceptable spelt either way but in Word when the language is set to US English any "ise" word is flagged as incorrect but in UK English both "ize" and "ise" words are allowed, this doesnt help when you are trying to set standards in a document.

At first glance this may sound pedantic, but our real reason behind working this out is continuity, it would look unprofessional for a document to have different spellings of the same word in it.

Has anyone come across this before ? How do we force Word to see any ize word as a typo when in UK english.

Thanks all.
