Default Managing multiple templates

We're just starting to use PowerPoint to generate learning content for our curricula. I'm not sure how PP handles management of template styles. Especially for large quantities of files. For example, we also use Adobe FrameMaker for our publications. In that program I can have "book" file that references or collectes many FrameMaker documents. Think of these as chapters in the book. One of the many things I can do with the book is impose a template on all of the documents within the book. Say a new master page style, or a change in a paragraph style. I just select all the files in the book, import the styles from a template, and that's it. All of the chapters have that template's styles.

How can I do that in PowerPoint? Say I have 100 slide shows and I need to change all of the master slides to reflect a new logo and change the font colors. How can I do that for all 100 slides? Is there an aftermarket tool that gives me this type of document management? I called Micorsoft but they were no help.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
