If the data were imported from somewhere, the country details may have been included.

Outlook has four Country/Region fields - for business, home, other and an unnamed one. Using Outlook 2010, you can see these by going to Contacts > All Fields and choosing the 'Address fields' option in the 'Select from' dropdown.
