Removing small blue-dotted text box
Hello, first time here.
I seldom use Word. I'm a published writer and author and find that the simple Windows text writer is just so straight forward and gets the job done.
Using Word seems so burdensome as all I want to do is sit and write and write; I don't need all the bells and whistles.
But my publisher(s) are forcing me into this now and I honestly have no idea what I'm doing half the time.
I find myself here because my son believes that it's better to drive strangers mad rather than tying up his phone at all hours... perhaps I shall soon become a nuisance on here.
Hopefully this is a simple question and the solution will be found faster than the task of registering.
Question:
When I open a new document. There is a small blue-dotted text box that appears each time.
I can only enter text within and the dotted box expands with more content.
Others don't seem to have this problem (so this must be my sin).
(If I click on the box a large heavy border appears and I can expand the box using the corner or side squares)
How do I rid/remove my new Word documents from opening with this "text box" again? How is this done?
Be gentle - I'm a novice at this.
