I got the resolution for this me self. For selecting mutiple folders in Advance find for the secondary mailbox in outlook 2007 all you need to do is go to control panel > Mail > Select the profile and uncheck the "Use Cache Exchange Mode".

Or you can delete the mail profile and create a new mail profile and while creating it do not click on "Use Cache Exchange Mode" and this resolves the issue.
