Hi altjx,

Some things to note:
1. You should have to play with the Windows Registry to correct problems with a Word heading Style. The definitions for these are stored in Word's 'Normal' template.
2. Word provides options for how content pasted between documents is handled.
3. Pasting content from one document to another does not change the Style definitions in the target document. The formatting of the pasted content may differ (according to your paste settings in 2, above), however.
4. If the pasted content includes Styles that weren't already present in the target document, you may end up with new Styles with those same definition in the target document.
5. You can use Find/Replace to change content in one Style to another Style
6. You can delete unwanted user-defined Styles (such as those acquired by 4, above).
7. You can paste any text as unformatted, in which case it all adopts the Style attributes of whatever applies at the insertion point.
