You can skip over the errors by adding:
On Error Resume Next
before:
With oTbl
You will then need to process the tables with vertically-merged cells manually.

As for beginners' books, there are many and I don't know which might suit your needs. As for Excel, there is an Excel forum here. There are also numerous other, specialized Excel forums (eg Mr Excel & Excel Forum).
