Default Newbie Question

I am completely new to powerpoint, so bear with me if my question seems stupid!

I run a napoleonic campaign on the internet, with nine players world wide. I have produced a campaign map using a software programme. I make a JPG copy which is sent to all players to plot their moves. They send me orders and I update the master map.

When they send in their orders I move the symbols on the map, make a copy and send it to them.

At present I do all of this using Paint. The trouble is that I have to make a new map for each player for each move. A LOT of work.

It has been suggested that I use Powerpoint.

I have checked Google looking for inspiration, but all of the tutorials seem to be to make slides.

I would like to make a master map, which I can update for each player for each turn, and take a copy of each stage to send to the relevant player.

Not sure how well I have explained all of that. But if anyone can help I would be really grateful

thanks

Paul
