Excellent Paul, that's what I was looking for. It's unfortunate that it doesn't insert text rather than a dynamic field, but I guess I'll have to get used to using the F9 function.
It also works throughout Outlook, but it's also unfortunate that it isn't consistent with Excel where the CNTL-; and CNTL-: insert the date/time (as text).
