Oh, that's a good point. I checked the Outlook properties on the e-mail and looked for the mailto prefix. I'll reread your prior post and see if that is the problem, it might be.
Thanks for hanging in there with me on this. It is about 5% of e-mail addresses that fail. I cannot seem to ascertain a pattern. My Outlook is configured for 8 different e-mail addresses using 1and1, Verizon and a few other e-mail servers. No problems with send receive at all.
I've used IMAP before, ummmmmmm, don't quite like the way it works. So I stayed with POP3/SMTP. I'll keep plugging at this and see if I can figure out a pattern. As a young person I wrote software, so I'm pretty good at figuring out software patterns. I'll give it a go!
Thank you SO MUCH for all of your kind help and terrific assistance. I greatly appreciate talking with such knowledgeable people like you! I am running Office in 32bit mode, as it was recommend for compatibility with plugin's and add-ons. I wasn't sure if 64bit would provide anything other than large data set handling. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your help! With all my best,
John
