Exclamation How to edit shape with "editing restrictions" turned on

Good day..

I have a document which needs to have editing restrictions enabled, but the end user must be able to edit (copy/paste/delete/resize) a drawing object over a picture. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to enable editing of the drawing object once the protection is enabled (Protect Document > Restrict Formatting and Editing > Start Enforcing Protection)

I have tried the following workarounds:
  • Insert a new table with the drawing objects inserted within and choose "Everyone"
  • Insert an embedded spreadsheet with the drawing objects inserted within and choose "Everyone"
  • Insert a new drawing canvas with the drawing objects inserted within and choose "Everyone"
  • Select the region around the drawings object and choose "Everyone"
  • Select the drawing objects themselves and choose "Everyone"
Thanks,
