A little patience wouldn't go astray. After all, you posted on a weekend and this forum, like almost all forums, relies on the goodwill of volunteers. As for the # views, that could be nothing more than page accesses by web-bots, not people.
What 'View' do you have Word set to? Word rulers are always configured to show only to the page boundaries. A ruler apparently anchored on the left of the screen is symptomatic of 'Draft' view. In 'Print layout' view, the ruler should be centred if only a single page width is displayed. The only view in which the ruler always spans the screen width is 'Web Layout' - because web pages work with screen widths and not paper widths.
