Adding a word to the dictionary only applies to your installation. To prevent spell-checking on a document that you send to someone else, do the following: Select all text (Ctrl+A) and then click Review tab | Language | Set Proofing Language. Click "Do not check spelling or grammar" and then click OK. (Note that content in headers, footers, and text boxes must be dealt with separately.) For more options, see
