Hi Marienna,

I've tried various approaches to extracting the content (eg examining the internal xml file contents and examing the strings with vba code), but can't find anything I can restore to normal text. Given your earlier comments:

The laptop I was working on at the time had basically zero space on the harddrive, and was flashing warnings of lack of memory
I suspect the lack of space has led to insufficient space being available for saving the document, with the result that its content has indeed been corrupted.
