Default How to Get Rid of Black Lines

Hi,
Try this to get rid of the lines:

1. Click above each line.
2. Locate the dropdown arrow to the right of the Borders button on the Home tab.
3. Click on "No borders" in the menu that pops up. Hopefully your lines will now go away.

By the way, the lines probably appeared when you typed three hyphens, three underscores, or three of certain other characters. Here's how you can prevent this from happening in the future:

1. Click on the round Microsoft Office button in the left-hand corner of your screen.
2. Click on the Word Options button in the lower right-hand corner of the box that pops up.
3. Click on "Proofing" on the left in the next box.
4. Click on the AutoCorrect Options button near the top of the next box.
5. Click on the AutoFormat As You Type tab in the next box.
6. Uncheck the box next to "Border lines" in the middle of the box in the "Apply as you type" section.
7. Click OK to get out of both boxes.

Hope that helps!
