think I know the answer to my problem after reading some of the Posts here but it would be nice if someone could confirm.
I was made redundant a year ago and have been submitting my CV in a Word 2007 docx format to various job vacancies.
I was surprised by the lack of response to those I knew I was particularly suited to and the alarm bells started ringing when one of the Agencies asked me to submit my CV
(which I already had in docx format) as a Word document, another Agency on-line form application stated it only accepted doc or rtf formats when I tried to attach my docx CV.
I can only imagine one of two scenarios for the total lack of interest in my CV, either:
1. The Employers cannot access my CV due to their earlier versions of Word and don't even need to bother to try due to the vast number of people applying for a single job or......
2. My CV says I'm rubbish & unemployable !
