Hello SpiderTech
I have a new computer my brother built for me. He said to store data on the e drive and I thought that meant email as well. I later found out that email doesn't take up too much space, but initially I tried to back up a .pst file I had put in my e drive. It's kind of a blur after that I know I ended up with two file for outlook. The one on the e drive I asked outlook to initialize from and one it created on my c drive. I think I deleted two outlook files I shouldn't have in an attempt to keep one file, and Outlook was probably using it too. Anyway I had the sense to restore one of the files from the trash which gave me back my contacts and emails, but deleted the other file in the trash thinking everything was fine. It was only later I realized I couldn't create a group. All addresses are valid and I can add a new contact, even create email using a group I already have.
Just before this all happened I was able to open a group and delete members, but when I choose to add members the computer completely hung. I forced quit out of outlook and when I went to reopen the group it wouldn't open at all. I have reinstalled the software - no luck, I have backed up a pst from my laptop and tried to use that file - no luck. I think I may have offed a critical file for groups. Registry issue?
