I escalated the problem through social media to AT&T Advanced Customer Service and they are "adamant" the problem is with Yahoo. Said I should contact Yahoo directly; tried that - calls are just routed back to AT&T. This is the customer caught between these giants having "a failure to communicate." to quote Strother Martin.
