Question Running Office Programs locally and not with Client Virtualization Service

I run Office 2010 with Windows 7 Home Premium. Although I do not remember opting for it, it runs through Microsoft's Client Virtualization Service, which means the program opens from the Internet, with a version of the program kept in a cache for when the Internet is not available.

As a result I can't find any accessible application file on my hard drive. and, therefore, I cannot link to any of Office's programs with a hotkey from a keyboard nor from inside a file management program such as PapePort.

Is there any way to work around this problem, by emulating the presence of a local application file, or disabling the Client Virtualization Service. I am afraid to try, for fear of disabling Office altogether.
