Hi Therese,

If you only have the starter pack installed, that implies the applications came pre-installed on the PC. In that case, it should also have come with a recovery disk and/or recover partition. Check the manuals for details. But then that wouldn't be a Win 2K/Office 03 setup, since the Office Starter Pack didn't exist back then.

Other than that, you might try going to the Windows Control Panel, choosing Add/Remove Programs and trying a repair of your Office installation.
