I got the same result as you.

However, one option would be to have custom styles for your headings, which as you have coloured them I assume you have done. When creating the TOC use your custom heading instead.

You might need to modify your custom headings to include a tab setting for the page number and a ..... leader and apply those styles to the created TOC. I tried this and it works just fine for me, but the headings I had in the document were left aligned and did not have a tab. Copy your document and try it in the copy, that way you still have your original to go back to.

It's worth a go a least as a work around until someone gives you the definitive solution for this.
