I have Lecture Notes where each section (generally from one to three pages) is similar to the previous one, but separated by Section Breaks (next page). A few of my pages/sections have multiple columns for organziing throughts/material.

Howerver, when I delete a section break (that begins my multi-column material) in order to re-format or change it, the PREVIOUS page break disappears and becomes only a Continuous Section Break, moving my day's lecture onto the end of the previous day's lecture. How do I preserve previous page breaks? Why would a previous page break disappear when I delete a Section break below and in a new section?

What am I missing?
